Sound Research Rebellion LP, Concerts and Conference Paper - 2016/17

Three groups were run concurrently throughout the year allowing the same cues to be tried with different players. The variety of the group’s practice was showcased in the ‘Megabathstreet’ performance at the end of the year with all line ups performing and collaborations with the Beatniks circus troop and students from UCLan Dance.
Conference paper presented on July 10th. It was during compiling this script and reflecting upon the year that the importance of the musicians difficulty in working with pitch was highlighted. Two lineups were recorded for the LP with sleeve notes explaining the wide variety of cues and approaches being used - from the prescriptive and defined to completely open - what was asked and what resulted?
